Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital honored with Quality Award for improving care for NAS Patients
Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital has reduced the average length of stay for infants with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) from 28 days to 8.5 days through non-pharmacological care, resulting in $5.4 million savings. Morphine treatment was also decreased from 98% to 44%.
