Breakthrough New Therapy Uses Antibody-Targeted Chemotherapy To Fight Leukemia

Researchers developed CMA-676, an antibody-drug conjugate targeting AML cells while sparing normal blood cells. The treatment produces mild side effects and induces remission comparable to standard chemotherapy regimens.

New Strategy May Succeed At Extending The Life Of Transplanted Kidneys

Researchers found that improving kidney function in majority of patients can be achieved by reducing cyclosporine dosage and adding mycophenolate mofetil, potentially slowing kidney deterioration. The study showed an improvement in kidney function in 37 patients over two years.
