Targeted programs reduced depression in youth better than nontargted programs

A meta-analysis of 30 studies found that targeted selective and indicated prevention programs had greater effects on reducing depressive symptoms than universal programs. These targeted programs showed better results in alleviating depressive symptoms at post-intervention and six-month follow-ups.
