To accelerate or decelerate in the light-emitting process of zinc-oxide crystals

Researchers at Tohoku University studied Zinc-Oxide crystals' IQE in both light-emitting and non-light-emitting processes. The study found that deceleration of the non-light-emitting process, due to saturation of NRCs, dominated IQE increase.

Molecular pores for thought

Researchers at King Abdullah University of Science & Technology created an ultrathin porous membrane using molecular building blocks to separate molecules of different sizes and shapes. The membrane outperformed traditional membranes in filtering organic solvents, with high selectivity and durability.
