Virtual news briefings and research highlights, APS 2022 Convention

Journalists are invited to attend two virtual news briefing that will cover the latest research and discoveries from the field of psychological science. Topics will include the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education, tools to support ethnic and gender minorities, fake news and misinformation, romance and relationships, and more.

Both briefings will feature a small number of particularly compelling talks selected from among approximately 1,600 accepted presentations at the 2022 Annual Convention of the Association for Psychological Science (APS), held May 26 to 29 in Chicago, Illinois.

Findings highlighted in the virtual news briefings have been accepted for presentation but may not have undergone formal peer review . Briefing participants and topics are subject to change.

HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

APS requires that everyone who attends the 2022 Annual Convention be fully vaccinated with one of the WHO -approved vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be verified by a third-party provider. APS will require all attendees, guests, and speakers to wear masks in the meeting space except when eating and drinking.
