Edward Maibach, Director of Mason's Center for Climate Change Communication and a University Professor of Communication, and Mark Mitchell, Associate Professor, Climate Change, Energy, and Environmental Health Equity, received $700,001 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for: "Expanding the work of the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health to advocate equitable climate and health solutions in the Gulf States."

This funding began in Sept. 2022 and will end in Sept. 2024.
