(Boston)—The Tan Family Scholarship Fund has awarded Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine $180,000 over three years to provide scholarships to six medical students in years two, three and four of their studies.
The Fund will provide annual scholarship awards of $10,000 based on financial need to students in good academic standing who are entering their second year of medical school. The scholarships will be renewed for recipients’ third and fourth years of medical school based on their academic standing.
The Foundation is a private foundation that primarily funds education. The Foundation made 13 grants last year to organizations such as the Museum Of Fine Arts Boston.
