About The Study: Researchers conducted a genetic analysis of individuals with uncombable hair syndrome, a rare hair shaft anomaly that is characterized by dry, frizzy and wiry hair that cannot be combed flat. Only about 100 known cases have been reported so far.

Authors: Regina C. Betz, M.D., of the University of Bonn in Bonn, Germany, is the corresponding author.
