(TORONTO & WORCESTER, August 6, 2026) JMIR Publications, a leading open-access digital health research publisher, has partnered with the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan) on an Open Access publishing subscription.
This partnership, supported and funded by the Lamar Soutter Library at UMass Chan, replaces individual Article Processing Fees (APF) with a single institutional fee. The agreement provides UMass Chan researchers with uncapped Gold OA publishing in JMIR’s 30+ high impact journals. JMIR’s OA publishing subscriptions have proven to expand opportunity and increase equity for researchers wherever they are available. The JMIR-UMass Chan agreement is effective for all eligible articles accepted for publication between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027.
