Raedeh Basiri, Assistant Professor, Nutrition, College of Public Health, is investigating the effects of magnesium supplementation on key health outcomes in adults with elevated blood glucose.
Her study focuses on E‑Z Mg™, a magnesium supplement derived from organic whole-food concentrates, evaluating whether this form of magnesium can improve sleep, mood, fatigue, blood pressure, body composition, and glycemic control. By examining these interconnected physiological and behavioral measures, Basiri aims to clarify magnesium’s potential role in supporting metabolic and overall health in adults at risk of type 2 diabetes.
Basiri received $237,3453 from Standard Process for this project. Funding began in May 2026 and will end in May 2027.
