What The Study Did: This study of 470,000 rural U.S. veterans with a history of mental health care use found that receipt of a video-enabled tablet during the COVID-19 pandemic was associated with increased use of mental health care via video, increased psychotherapy visits and reduced suicide-related behavior and emergency department visits.
