About The Study: In this study that included 8,900 patients in New York State hospitals, obstetric patients in racial and ethnic minority groups were less likely than white patients to receive an epidural blood patch (EBP) for management of postdural puncture headache (a type of severe headache that can occur after neuraxial analgesia or anesthesia for childbirth) during their delivery hospitalization, and, when they received EBP, they received it later than white patients.
