Goldberg Receives Funding For Training Program
Debora Goldberg, Associate Professor, Health Administration and Policy, received funding to develop a Health and Public Safety Workforce Resiliency Training Program (HPSWRTP).
The program will offer accessible education and training opportunities to promote the health and well-being of nurses, social workers, public health professionals, and health care leaders in rural and underserved communities across the United States.
National partners of the program include: America’s Essential Hospitals, National Association of Community Health Centers, and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials.
Regional partners include: Northern Virginia Area Health Education Center, Virginia Community Health Association, National Association of Social Workers Virginia Chapter, and Virginia Association of Colleges of Nursing.
Goldberg will receive total funding of $2,049,289 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for this award. Funding began in January 2022 and will end in late December 2024.
