The New Investigator Award is designed to encourage new clinical investigators to gain experience with performing and presenting ultrasound research early in their academic careers. The award with a prize of $1000, is presented each year to a new investigator (resident, fellow, faculty member, or sonographer in practice fewer than 5 years) who presents the best scientific abstract.

Mr. Wu, along with the 5 other nominees, presented his abstract on Tuesday, June 22, and the winner was announced later that evening at the AIUM Board of Governors banquet. The names of the 6 presenters and their topics will soon be posted on the AIUM website at www.aium.org .

Congratulations to Mr. Wu and the other nominees on a job well done!

The AIUM, a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to advancing the art and science of ultrasound in medicine and research through its educational, scientific, and professional activities, has been able to promote the safe and effective use of ultrasound in clinical medicine for more than 50 years.
