Five years after the release of the first-ever textbook for nurses, the EBMT Nurses Group is proud to announce the release of the second edition during the 49th Annual Meeting of the EBMT that is taking place in Paris and online (23-26 April 2023). This textbook provides nurses with a comprehensive and informative guide covering all aspects of transplant and cell therapy nursing, from basic principles to advanced concepts. It takes the reader on a journey through the history of transplant nursing, presenting concepts to help nurses improve the patient experience, as well as research and auditing methods.

This edition offers a complete content review, evidences current nursing practice in this highly specialised field, includes information on Covid and a brand-new chapter dedicated to cell therapy nursing care. While this textbook has been specifically written with nurses in mind, it is a very useful resource for other health professionals working in the field of HSCT and cell therapy and compliments the EBMT handbook, a popular educational resource for developed for physicians to accompany an annual training course also serving as an educational tool in its own right.
