Gilman to receive funding for arts initiatives project

Lisa Gilman, Professor, Folklore Program, English, is set to receive funding for: “My Culture, My Survival: Arts Initiatives by Refugees for Refugees.”

Gilman will serve as a Fellow of the Wilson Center.

She will complete a book manuscript and produce additional, short, public-facing writings.

Gilman will also work to transform her scholarly work to shape policy.

Gilman will receive $90,000 from the Wilson Center for this award. Funding will begin in Sept. 2024 and will end in May 2025.
