Tokyo, Japan – October 8, 2025 – The International Society of Microbiota (ISM) and RIKEN will host the prestigious Innovation Awards Gala during the First Conjoint Meeting ISM × RIKEN, taking place at the iconic Happo-en in Tokyo. The event will convene leading researchers, clinicians, and industry innovators exploring how the human microbiota and its molecular signals impact immunity, metabolism, neurodegeneration, and longevity — and how these insights can be translated into novel therapies and health technologies.

The ISM - RIKEN Innovation Awards celebrate scientific excellence and translational breakthroughs at the forefront of microbiota medicine.

Three distinctions will be presented:

Nominations close Tuesday, October 7, 2025 . Researchers, biotech start-ups, and companies are invited to submit their projects for the chance to be recognized by a global expert panel.
