CASPR and Allegheny County announce major new randomized clinical trial: GLP-1RA recovery and stability trial
A $13.3 million randomized clinical trial is testing whether weekly semaglutide can reduce alcohol and opioid use, and reduce justice involvement among adults with alcohol and opioid use disorder. The study aims to improve employment, health, and housing outcomes among participants, and will enroll up to 1,200 adults with the conditions.
