Art Institute of Chicago unveils key findings in African art thanks to medical technology
The Art Institute of Chicago has made significant new research on five terracotta sculptures from the 12th to 15th centuries, confirming they were created as a group and date back over 800 years. The use of CT scanning and thermoluminescence testing revealed exceptional craftsmanship and uniqueness among the sculptures.
