What The Study Did: Access to medical care unrelated to COVID-19 was limited because of concerns about viral spread during the early months of the pandemic, and this study of claims data from 24 million commercially insured patients examined whether nonpharmacologic therapy, such as physical therapy, was replaced by prescription opioids to control pain.
