PET/MRI May Improve Detection of Clinically Significant Prostate Cancer
A new study evaluated whether combining multiparametric MRI with 18 F-flotufolastat PET improves the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer. Researchers found the combined imaging approach outperformed MRI or PET alone and identified patients with a very high likelihood—or very low risk—of significant disease before biopsy.
PSMA PET/CT-Guided Biopsy Improves Detection of Significant Prostate Cancer
Researchers found that PSMA PET/CT–guided targeted biopsy detected more clinically significant prostate cancers than standard systematic biopsy in men with inconclusive MRI results. The study also showed that PET measurements, including SUVmax and dynamic imaging data, helped better identify aggressive disease and distinguish suspicious prostate lesions.
Real-World Study Compares Two PSMA Radiotherapies for Advanced Prostate Cancer
A study of 140 men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer compared 177 Lu-PSMA-617 and 177 Lu-PSMA I&T under routine clinical care. Researchers examined survival, PSA responses, side effects, and factors linked to outcomes, finding similar overall survival while observing differences in biochemical response patterns and blood-count changes.
