The University of Chicago Data Science Institute (DSI) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Millennium , which has joined the DSI’s Industry Affiliate Program to advance curriculum and drive innovation at the DSI and beyond.
Millennium, a global alternative investment manager, will join the DSI’s industry partners in setting the intellectual agenda for the field of data science and AI. Together, the DSI and Millennium will pursue joint initiatives to expand applied learning opportunities for students.
The Industry Affiliate Program provides companies across sectors— including finance, technology, healthcare, renewable energy, and more—with a structured avenue to partner with one of the world’s leading research institutions through student engagement, applied learning opportunities, project collaborations, seminars on cutting-edge research, and community-building events.

Developing A New Program for Quants
The partnership will also support the design of a new, cutting-edge quantitative developer certificate program for students being jointly developed by the Data Science Institute and the Financial Mathematics program at UChicago. Alongside other firms, Millennium will lend strategic insight and industry expertise to help shape a program to train the next generation of financial data science and quantitative leaders.
