About The Study: This 25-year study that included nearly 4 million Medicare beneficiaries who were alive 30 days after a heart attack found that the rates for 10-year mortality and hospitalization for another heart attack improved steadily over time, but men, Black patients and dual Medicare-Medicaid-eligible patients had higher risks of adverse outcomes.
