NIH Office of Research on Women's Health to Hold Virtual Meeting Series on Advances in Women's Health, Sex and Gender in Health and Disease, and the Advancement of Women in Biomedical Careers
WHAT: The NIH Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) will hold the ORWH 30th Anniversary Virtual Meeting Series: Advancing the Health of Women Through Science. The series consists of three events:
The meetings will take place December 14, 15, and 16, 2020. Audience members can attend the livestreamed events virtually or watch the recorded videocasts when they are made available after the meetings. The Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH) Annual Meeting will focus on mentoring young investigators, allow BIRCWH (pronounced "birch") Scholars to present their research findings, and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the program.

The ORWH 30th Anniversary Scientific Symposium, "Advancing the Health of Women Through Science," will be a full-day symposium to mark the 30th anniversary of ORWH. The symposium will cover a wide range of topics, including women's mental health, environmental factors affecting women's health, pain management for women, and sex as a biological variable.
