CLEVELAND - University Hospitals today announced the launch of a new Student Loan Repayment Program for new graduate Radiologic professionals and Respiratory Therapists to strengthen its clinical workforce across Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.

Utilizing Clasp’s recruitment platform, University Hospitals will provide eligible participants, subject to program terms, eligibility requirements, and qualifying employment, with up to $20,000* in employer-sponsored student loan repayment support for eligible new graduate Radiologic professionals and Respiratory Therapists and for program eligible loans, with repayment distributed over two years of employment. The program aims to reduce financial barriers to education, attract and retain top early-career talent, and strengthen long-term workforce stability across University Hospitals' Cleveland and Northeast Ohio locations.

This program supports University Hospitals' broader workforce strategy focused on retention, pipeline development, and expanding access to high-impact careers. By investing in new graduate Radiologic professionals and Respiratory Therapists, University Hospitals is supporting the next generation of clinical professionals needed to its care delivery operations across the region.

"Today's healthcare professionals are looking for employers that invest in their long-term success," said Kim Shelnick, Vice President of Talent Acquisition at University Hospitals. "This student loan repayment benefit reflects University Hospitals’ commitment to supporting new graduates as they begin their careers, while creating meaningful opportunities for professional growth and long-term success."

Eligible students may apply while still enrolled in an accredited Radiologic or Respiratory Therapy program. Selected candidates who satisfy University Hospitals’ employment requirements may receive loan repayment once employed by University Hospitals.2 The program allows University Hospitals to engage talent earlier while giving students additional clarity regarding potential student loan repayment support as they embark on their professional careers.

"This collaboration represents a new model for workforce development — one that connects education financing directly to employment outcomes," said Tess Michaels, CEO & Founder of Clasp. "By combining pre-recruitment with structured loan repayment, University Hospitals is reducing hiring risk while investing in the long-term success of its workforce and community."

Students enrolled in or considering a Radiologic profession or Respiratory Therapy program who are interested in launching their careers with University Hospitals are encouraged to visit the University Hospitals careers website or learn more about the program at clasp.com/universityhospitals .
