As part of the section on Dentistry and Oral Health Sciences, Dr. Boskey was elected for her "distinguished contributions to the field of biological calcification and to understanding the roles of extracellular matrix proteins and phospholipids in mineralized tissues."

New Fellows will be presented with an official certificate and a gold and blue rosette pin which represents science and engineering, respectively at the Fellows Forum of the 2005 AAAS Annual Meeting in Washington, DC on Saturday, February 19. The tradition of AAAS Fellows began in 1874.

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is the world's largest general scientific society and publisher of the journal, Science ( www.sciencemag.org ). AAAS was founded in 1848, and serves some 262 affiliated societies and academies of science, serving 10 million individuals.
