Alexandria, VA, USA – The International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) and the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) have announced the 2026 recipients of the IADR/AADOCR William J. Gies Award. The recipients were recognized during the Opening Ceremonies of the 104 th General Session of the IADR, which was held in conjunction with the 55 th Annual Meeting of the AADOCR and the 50 th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research on March 25-28, 2026 in San Diego, CA, USA.

The award is named after William J. Gies, the founder of the Journal of Dental Research . It is given for the best paper published in the Journal of Dental Research during the preceding year. Supported by J. Morita Corporation, the award consists of a $1,000 prize and a commemorative plaque.
