Stevens researchers win the Herbert A. Simon Best Paper Award

HOBOKEN, N.J. -- A Stevens Institute of Technology team won the Herbert A. Simon Best Research Paper Award at the Conference on Design Research in Information Systems and Technology (DESRIST), held in Pasadena, Calif., May 13-15, 2007. Wayne Huang, a doctoral student, and Edward A. Stohr, Professor in the Howe School of Technology Management, co-authored the winning paper, titled “Design and Implementation of a Business Process Rules Engine.”

This award is given in the name of Herbert A. Simon, Nobel Prize Laureate, who, among many other accomplishments, first championed the importance of design in academic research.
