About the Study : This Viewpoint summarizes the ways in which federal health agencies and state-level safeguards work in parallel to ensure public health and highlights how 3 recent Supreme Court rulings have reduced the independence of federal agencies, expanded political control over them, and curtailed state-level protections meant to challenge and supplement federal standards.
