Fruits And Vegetables Protect Lungs

A new study found that consuming high levels of antioxidants like beta carotene, selenium, and vitamins C and E can significantly improve lung function, comparable to the difference between a nonsmoker and a long-term smoker. The research suggests that these antioxidants may help prevent asthma, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis.
