About The Study: Gender-affirming top surgery was associated with improvement in chest dysphoria (distress related to the development of breasts), gender congruence, and body image at three months after surgery among transgender and nonbinary adolescents and young adults designated female at birth in this nonrandomized, control-matched study. Surgical complications were minimal.
