About The Study: Compared with no endoscopy, initiation of lower gastrointestinal endoscopy before age 50 among women was associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer, including colorectal cancer diagnosed before age 55, findings that support guidelines recommending initiation of colorectal cancer screening among women before age 50.
