Vaccine Innovation Center, Korea University College of Medicine (Head of the Center, Jung Hee-jin) held an invited training for Ethiopian health officials on Monday, September 1st.

This program is part of the ‘2025 Vaccine Development and Production Education for Strengthening Ethiopia's Vaccine Ecosystem’ organized by the International Vaccine Institute (IVI). It is designed to enhance the international community's capacity to respond to infectious diseases and contribute to global public health improvement.

The program included in the order of △introduction to the Vaccine Innovation Center, △Q&A and △tour to laboratory and (A) BL-3 research facility. The program participants experienced Korea's capabilities in vaccine research firsthand by examining the state-of-the-art infrastructure at the Vaccine Innovation Center.

Jeong Hee-jin, Head of the Vaccine Innovation Center, started, “Each year, the Vaccine Innovation Center, Korea University College of Medicine continues to educate and collaborate with health professionals worldwide, leveraging the best infrastructure in Korea. We are committed to doing our best to contribute to enhancing global health.”

The Vaccine Innovation Center,Korea University College of Medicine, which was moved to Mediscience Park Chung Mong-Koo Future Medicine Building located in Jeongneung in June, is the only private vaccine research institute in Korea, and has the best research facilities and equipment in the country, including a Biosafety Level 3 laboratory, and is actively conducting research activities.
