New PET imaging approach provides precise mapping of nasopharyngeal cancer biomarker

A novel immuno-PET/CT imaging technique has identified a potent biomarker for nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC), CD70, which is highly expressed in NPCs. The technique showed 100% detection rate of primary tumors and 93% detection rate of local lymph node metastasis in patients with early-stage disease.
