The American College of Cardiology (ACC) recognized 21 individuals from across Latin America who have earned the distinguished Fellow of the ACC (FACC) designation at the conclusion of the ACC Latin America 2026 conference on September 17-19 in Medellín, Colombia. The conference was co-hosted by ACC and the Colombian Society of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery.
“The FACC designation represents a deep commitment to advancing excellence in patient care,” said ACC President Roxana Mehran, MD, FACC. “As cardiovascular disease continues to be the leading cause of death around the globe, we are pleased to honor these individuals for their dedication to furthering the ACC’s mission and congratulate our newest FACCs on this well-deserved achievement.”
