Six young investigators from the Middle East have been awarded prestigious grants in recognition of their top ranked research abstracts presented at the IOF Regionals – 1st Middle-East & Africa Osteoporosis Meeting.
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge on osteoporosis, and in particular to encouraging young researchers in all parts of the world to engage in bone research. As a sign of this commitment, IOF offers annual Young Investigator Awards at its regional meetings.
Today, six presenting authors (40 years old or younger at the time of the Meeting) of top ranking abstracts were awarded USD 1,000 and were invited to present their work during a special plenary session.

The IOF Regionals – 1st Middle-East & Africa Osteoporosis Meeting in Dubai, UAE closes today at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. The four-day meeting hosted close to 1000 researchers and health professionals from throughout the region, making it the largest bone event that has ever taken place in the Middle East.
