[Vienna, April 8, 2026] — The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) has joined as co-organiser of the European Multidisciplinary Congress on Urological Cancers ( EMUC26 ), bringing nuclear medicine expertise to Europe’s leading congress on urological cancers.
EMUC26 will take place on November 5-8, 2026 , in Brussels, Belgium , and is jointly organised by the European Association of Urology ( EAU ), European Society of Radiology ( ESR ), European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology ( ESTRO ), and EANM .
A greater role in urological cancers
The inclusion of EANM as a co-organiser reflects the rapidly expanding role of nuclear medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of urological cancers.
Molecular imaging techniques such as PSMA PET/CT have significantly improved prostate cancer detection and staging. At the same time, radioligand therapies are opening new treatment possibilities for patients with advanced disease.
By joining the EMUC organising partnership, EANM will ensure that the latest developments in molecular imaging and theranostics are fully represented within the congress programme and integrated into multidisciplinary case discussions, courses, and workshops.
Multidisciplinary collaboration
“This is a significant step in strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration on urological cancer management,” says EANM President Paola Anna Erba. “As a co-organiser of the congress, EANM is committed to promoting more precise and integrated approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes of urological cancers.”
Over four days, EMUC26 will bring together urologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and other healthcare professionals in a series of scientific sessions, workshops, and case-based discussions. This congress provides a unique platform for cross-disciplinary exchange on the current practices, as well as emerging innovations in genitourinary cancers treatment and management.
