About The Study: Adoption of the 2026 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association/Multisociety Dyslipidemia Guideline and Predicting Risk of Cardiovascular Disease EVENTs (PREVENT)-ASCVD (atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease) reclassified approximately one-quarter of adults, with two-thirds of those reassigned to lower-risk categories and one-third reassigned to higher-risk categories. Males, non-Hispanic Black individuals, and currently smoking individuals were most frequently reassigned downward, whereas females and individuals with diabetes were more often reassigned upward.
